WPSimplifyd Services Overview

01. Introduction

WPSimplifyd, keeps your WordPress site running smoothly, securely, and stress-free — so you can focus on your business, not tech headaches.

02. Services Provided

WordPress Maintenance (Included with Plan)

Here’s what’s covered to keep your site humming along:

  • Safe updates to WordPress core, plugins, and themes (human-tested — not automated)
  • Uptime and performance monitoring
  • Daily offsite backups
  • Security scans and threat response
  • Server software (PHP/MySQL) compatibility checks
  • Broken link and formatting fixes
  • Light content changes (e.g., swapping images, updating phone numbers)
  • Monthly review of your site’s content, UX, SEO, and conversion flow
  • Key performance insights and emailed reports
  • WordPress Security (Included with Plan)

WPSimplfyd uses premium, trusted tools and plugins to:

  • Deter brute-force attacks
  • Scan for malware and flag issues for remediation
  • Apply available security patches to plugins and themes
  • Monitor and flag risks from expired or abandoned plugin licenses

What’s Not Included in Standard Maintenance

  • Custom code, custom filters, or custom validation logic on forms or other site functionality
  • Spam filtering beyond the standard tools provided (Akismet, honeypot fields, reCAPTCHA where applicable)
  • Site-specific rules or configurations that require ongoing custom maintenance
  • Replicating any custom work across multiple sites

WordPress Support (Includes 1 Hour Per Month)

Each plan includes up to 1 hour of expert support every 30 days — consulting, design, or development — aligned with WPSimplifyd’s Phased Approach.

Support may include:

Consulting + Strategy

  • Planning site improvements
  • Strategy sessions or audits
  • Content or SEO guidance
  • Light copy edits for UX/search visibility

Design + UX

  • Homepage or layout refinements
  • Mobile adjustments
  • Styling tweaks to match your brand
  • Visual cleanup or accessibility improvements

Development + Fixes

  • Bug fixes or plugin troubleshooting
  • Page speed optimization
  • Emergency rescue work (minor issues)
  • Custom functionality updates or tweaks

Note: Support time is tracked in 15-minute increments. Strategy, design, and development work counts toward your monthly support hour. Unused time does not roll over.

03. Response Time

WPSimplifyd responds to emails in the order they’re received — usually within 24 hours.

04. Estimates & Timelines

WPSimplifyd aims to be accurate and transparent:

  • Estimates require paid discovery — accurate scoping often means doing 25–50% of the actual work first
  • Delays often stem from missing content, client response times, or inherited site issues
  • Timelines are estimates, not guarantees

05. Payment Terms

  • Billed monthly via Stripe
  • Each month includes up to 1 hour of expert support
  • Additional time is billed at $100/hr (invoiced 1st and 15th)
  • Payment is due within 7 days
  • Late frequently? Prepayment may be required
  • Texas clients: Provide sales tax exemption documentation or sales tax will be applied

06. Termination of Services

  • No setup fee for new clients (yay!)
  • Cancel anytime — no refunds or prorated credits
  • If you cancel (or pause) and later return, a $150 setup fee applies per site
  • Cancelation revokes access to any software licenses provided under your plan
  • Clients are responsible for managing their site post-cancelation
  • All outstanding invoices are due immediately upon cancelation

07. Client Responsibilities

  • Sites must be functional and malware-free before joining. If issues are discovered during onboarding (malware, broken functionality, abandoned plugins, security vulnerabilities, etc.), remediation is billed separately before the care plan begins — Website Rescue starts at $100, and malware remediation starts at $750
  • Pre-plan technical work (site audits, migrations, launches, or remediation requested before a care plan is active) is billed at the standard hourly rate and is not credited toward future plan months
  • Clients are responsible for existing third-party plugin licenses
  • Access required: WordPress admin, hosting control panel, s/FTP, and DNS (if needed). Delays caused by missing or incorrect access credentials may affect response times and are not WPSimplifyd's responsibility
  • If you use a non-recommended host, extra time may be billed for support limitations

08. Unresolved Security Vulnerabilities

When WPSimplifyd identifies a security risk and provides a written recommendation — including unpatched vulnerabilities, abandoned or redundant plugins, excessive administrator access, weak configurations, or similar — the client has 15 days from the date of the report to act on that recommendation.

If a flagged recommendation is not acted on within that window and the site is subsequently infected, hacked, or otherwise compromised, malware remediation is billed separately from the care plan, starting at $750 and billed at the standard hourly rate beyond that. Backup restoration alone is not guaranteed to remove persistent infections and may require full remediation.

Continued inaction on flagged security recommendations may also result in suspension or termination of the care plan at WPSimplifyd's discretion.

09. Use of AI

WPSimplifyd uses AI tools as part of its standard workflow — including for communication, research, code review, troubleshooting, design exploration, and documentation. AI is treated as a productivity tool, not a replacement for professional judgment, and all client-facing work is reviewed before delivery.

WPSimplifyd does not share client credentials, payment information, or stored personal data (such as customer records from databases or backups) with AI tools. Site-related context — including email notifications, form submissions, error messages, plugin lists, and public-facing content — may pass through AI tools as part of normal troubleshooting, analysis, and workflow.

10. What's Not Included

WPSimplifyd provides WordPress technical maintenance and support services only. The following are explicitly outside the scope of all plans and are not provided, reviewed, or advised upon:

  • Legal or regulatory compliance of any kind
  • Privacy law compliance (CCPA, CPRA, CIPA, GDPR, or similar)
  • ADA or WCAG accessibility compliance
  • HIPAA or healthcare data compliance
  • Cookie consent or consent management platform (CMP) configuration
  • Third-party tracker auditing for legal purposes
  • Tax, financial, or business advice
  • Custom spam filtering logic, behavioral analysis, reputation-based filtering, content moderation rules, AI-assisted filtering, language/character-based filtering, or ongoing tuning beyond standard protections such as Akismet, Gravity Forms honeypot, and CAPTCHA services are not included in standard maintenance plans.

Clients are solely responsible for ensuring their website complies with all applicable laws and regulations. WPSimplifyd strongly recommends consulting qualified legal counsel for compliance questions.

11. Custom Development & Per-Site Work

Any custom code, custom validation, custom filters, or site-specific configurations developed for a particular client are scoped, billed, and maintained on a per-site basis only. Custom work performed on one site does not constitute a feature of the care plan and will not be replicated, deployed, or maintained across other client sites — whether under the same agency relationship or otherwise — unless separately scoped and billed for each site.

Ongoing maintenance of custom code (debugging, updates for plugin/theme compatibility, conflict resolution) counts toward the client's monthly support hour or is billed at the standard rate.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WPSimplifyd’s total liability to any client for any claim arising out of or related to these services shall not exceed the total fees paid by that client in the 30 days preceding the claim.

WPSimplifyd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, regulatory fines, or third-party claims, regardless of whether WPSimplifyd was advised of the possibility of such damages.
