01. Introduction
WPSimplifyd maintains, secures, and provides support for WordPress websites.
02. Services Provided
WordPress Maintenance
- The regular updating of free and premium, publicly-available, legally-licensed software that makes your WordPress website run.
- Monthly website inspection that covers content, design, technology, search engine optimization, and conversion rate optimization.
- Monthly monitoring and analysis of your website’s core performance metrics.
- Email notifications and monthly reports.
- Continuous monitoring of your web server and website for critical errors. When your website goes down unexpectedly, WPSimplifyd makes sure it’s back up ASAP.
- Compatibility testing with, and updating of, web server software (PHP and MySQL) on an as-needed basis.
- Daily offsite backups of your website and database.
WordPress Security
- The installation, configuration, and daily use of WPSimplifyd-provided plugins and services to monitor and discourage brute-force attacks, identify and correct high-risk software vulnerabilities in a timely manner, detect malware and remove it if possible, block bad bots, etc.
WordPress Support
Consulting
- Consulting includes, but is not limited to: troubleshooting issues directly or indirectly caused by you, an employee, or a third-party; informing you of obscure hosting deficiencies that increase development costs and slow down your website; replying to “how-to” questions; replying to questions regarding Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and other service-provider-related questions; strategic, design, and/or technical guidance; estimating the cost and/or timing of a project or task; working with vendors on your behalf; plugin research and recommendations to streamline the cost of development; creative direction, copywriting and editing; image research; creation of user personas; creation of sitemaps; SEO assistance; help with software license renewals; help with AI prompts; detecting design-related issues that are detrimental to conversion rates, the user experience, and/or your brand; etc.
Web Design
- Design includes, but is not limited to: creating or improving your logo; redesigning/rebranding an entire website, page, or UI element; enhancing the user experience; emphasizing calls to action; improving readability of text-heavy pages; adding/removing columns; adding new client-provided content; upscaling, recropping, and optimizing existing photos; improving navigation and readability for mobile users; concept development; custom graphics; etc.
Web Development
- Development assistance includes, but is not limited to: migrating your website to a new host; the “untangling” of “spaghetti code” written by you or a previous developer; configuring and testing plugins that can significantly decrease development costs; debugging pre-existing theme and/or plugin conflicts; rebuilding your website using a new theme framework like Divi; adding new features and functionality (e.g., a complex submission form, Mailchimp integration, a password-protected page or section, a blog, etc.); custom plugin development; custom HTML/CSS/Javascript coding; extending plugin functionality; etc.
03. Response Time
- All support requests are handled by email via support@wpsimplifyd.com, in the order they are received.
- WPSimplifyd usually replies to every request well within 24 hours.
- WPSimplifyd’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9am CST to 5pm CST, except on holidays.
04. Estimates & Timelines
- WPSIMPLIFYD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WORK PERFORMED BY YOU OR OTHER DESIGNERS OR DEVELOPERS — NOR FOR THE CONSEQUENCES OF RECOMMENDED CORRECTIVE MEASURES MADE BY WPSIMPLIFYD THAT YOU REFUSE. MANY WEBSITES ARE POORLY DEVELOPED AND OFTEN REQUIRE MORE TIME THAN NECESSARY TO COMPLETE A TASK.
- IN MANY CASES, WPSIMPLIFYD MUST PERFORM 25% TO 50% OF THE WORK (@ $100 PER HOUR) BEFORE AN ESTIMATE AND/OR TIMELINE CAN BE PROVIDED. THEREFORE, WPSIMPLIFYD DOES NOT PROVIDE FREE ESTIMATES OR TIMELINES.
- For simple tasks, it may actually cost more to prepare an estimate and/or timeline than it takes to perform the task.
- Estimates and timelines depend on many variables, including the length of time it takes to receive client-provided content, the length of time it takes to receive client approval, scope creep, and the condition of your website. Estimates and timelines are NEVER guaranteed.
05. Payment Terms
- WPSimplifyd is a monthly subscription service. Once you sign up, your credit card will be charged automatically through Stripe — in advance of each monthly period, until you choose to cancel the service.
- YOUR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION INCLUDES NO MORE THAN 1 HOUR OF WORDPRESS SUPPORT. YOUR WORDPRESS SUPPORT HOUR EXPIRES AT THE END OF EACH MONTHLY PERIOD — WHETHER IT IS USED OR NOT. WORDPRESS SUPPORT HOURS DO NOT ACCRUE OR ROLLOVER FROM ONE MONTH TO THE NEXT. They may only be used for the website(s) WPSimplifyd is paid to actively maintain. If a project or task requires more than one hour, unused support time will appear as a credit on no more than one invoice per month.
- From time to time, the support hour included in your plan may be used without your knowledge to help cover unforeseeable issues and emergencies with your website.
- WHEN THE ALLOTTED TIME FOR WORDPRESS SUPPORT EXCEEDS THE MONTHLY HOUR INCLUDED IN YOUR PLAN, YOU WILL BE INVOICED FOR THE ADDITIONAL TIME ON THE 1ST AND 15TH OF EACH MONTH @ $100 PER HOUR. PAYMENT IS DUE NO LATER THAN 7 DAYS. IF YOU REGULARLY FAIL TO MAKE TIMELY PAYMENTS FOR WORDPRESS SUPPORT, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY IN ADVANCE FOR FUTURE INVOICES.
- Applicable sales tax is charged for all Texas-based businesses who are not exempt or do not provide a Sales Tax Exemption form. If your company is based in Texas and attempts to claim the exemption when you subscribe, and do not present a Sales Tax Exemption form within 2 weeks, WPSimplifyd reserves the right to adjust your subscription fee and charge for Texas Sales Tax (as required by law).
06. Termination of Services
- THERE ARE NO SET-UP FEES FOR NEWLY-SUBSCRIBED CLIENTS OR WEBSITES. HOWEVER, IF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IS CANCELLED, THERE WILL BE A $150 SETUP FEE EACH TIME YOU RESTART THE SERVICE AFTER YOUR FIRST CANCELLATION.
- WPSIMPLIFYD AND THE CLIENT MAY CANCEL THE SERVICE FOR ANY REASON, AT ANY TIME. HOWEVER, CHARGES WILL NOT BE PRORATED OR REFUNDED. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOUR SUBSCRIPTION BEGAN ON THE 5TH, AND YOU CANCEL ON THE 15TH, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND. YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL SIMPLY CONTINUE UNTIL THE 5TH OF THE FOLLOWING MONTH, AND YOUR CREDIT CARD WILL NO LONGER BE CHARGED.
- After the service has been terminated, all software licenses paid directly by WPSimplifyd shall be revoked. For example, premium security plugins, premium form submission plugins, spam-filtering services — and other licenses included in your WPSimplifyd plan — will no longer be active after the service has ended.
- Once the service has been cancelled, you will be responsible for maintaining and securing your website.
- Any past due balances must be paid in full upon termination of service.

07. Client Responsibilities
- YOUR WEBSITE MUST BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL AND FREE OF SIGNIFICANT TECHNICAL ERRORS AND MALWARE BEFORE WPSIMPLIFYD CAN BEGIN MAINTAINING IT. IF IT IS NOT, YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED ASAP. THERE IS A MINIMUM CHARGE OF $100 FOR WPSIMPLIFYD TO FIX IT.
- Client is solely responsible for all work previously performed (and not performed) on the website that WPSimplifyd will be caring for. Direct modifications to core WordPress, theme and/or plugin files; a poorly developed parent theme; the lack of a child theme; a website infected with malware; excessive and malformed redirects and SEO errors; budget hosting; etc. are bad practices that will likely require corrective work by WPSimplifyd at your expense.
- Client is solely responsible for maintaining and directly paying for all third-party software licenses and service fees for themes and plugins that were used to make your website function. Failure to do so may result in unnecessary support fees and make your website more susceptible to security vulnerabilities.
- Client must provide WPSimplifyd access to: the WordPress dashboard (with administrative privileges); the website’s web hosting portal; the s/FTP server for file access; and possible access to the domain registrar’s portal if a DNS change is required (e.g., migrating your website to a new host).
- If client insists on hosting with a non-approved web host, additional fees may be incurred as a result of unresponsive and/or incompetent hosting support, poor web server performance, vulnerable hosting environment, inadequate staging tools, etc.
08. Miscellaneous
- To enhance service efficiency and reduce costs, WPSimplifyd may use reputable AI tools to assist with content editing, design suggestions, coding, and other related tasks. These tools are only used to work with publicly available information (such as your website content, business name, or online listings) or content you have provided for publication.
- No confidential, private, or sensitive information — including client communications, clinical notes, or internal business documents — will ever be input into AI platforms. By using our services, you acknowledge and consent to this practice.
- WPSimplifyd is not affiliated with Automattic, WordPress, or WP Engine.
- This document may be changed at any time without notice. The last update was on July 5, 2024.
